About the Paper:
I make paper in my studio that I use in artworks like assemblages and in printmaking, as well as for making poetry broadsides, use as endpapers, and in books as works of art. The yarn for the paper in these prints came from 100% cotton rug yarn remnants off the looms of a local rug weaving business that I ran through my Hollander beater.* The paper is very strong and picks up the printing ink very nicely. The color of the paper used for this print is a medium-light brown.
*A Hollander beater is a machine for beating and breaking down natural materials especially for papermaking.
